Bursa Data Recovery: Professional Courier Service From the Marmara Region to Ankara Hacettepe Teknokent

TL;DR: DSET provides data recovery for industrial enterprises, SMEs and individual clients in Bursa through insured courier and remote coordination from our central laboratory at Ankara Hacettepe Teknokent. For cases focused on automotive, textiles, furniture, food and defense industries, recovery covers HDD, SSD, RAID, NAS, mobile devices, servers, SCADA/PLC records and post-ransomware recovery. ISO/IEC 27037 compliant process, a 99.4 percent success rate, a KVKK-compliant mutual NDA, and a 24/7 emergency line at +90 536 662 38 09. We have no physical office in Bursa, our center is Ankara, but the insured courier process is exceptionally well organized.

How Do You Reach DSET From Bursa?

Sending a device from Bursa to Ankara works as simply as a single press with us. There is a regular daily courier flow from the Nilufer, Osmangazi, Yildirim, Mudanya, Gemlik, Inegol and Gorukle routes; insured shipments dispatched overnight reach our Ankara depot the next morning. The process comes down to these six steps:

  1. Preliminary assessment call: You call our number, +90 536 662 38 09, or send a short email to [email protected]. We discuss the device type, the symptom of the fault and how critical the data is.
  2. Packaging instructions: Written instructions covering an anti-static bag, at least three layers of bubble wrap, a rigid outer box and the declared insurance value are sent to you via WhatsApp. The instructions come with visuals, explaining one by one how the head assembly is protected against vibration and how the RAID disk order is labeled.
  3. Insured courier: You ship via Aras Kargo VIP, MNG insured, Yurtici Plus or UPS Express. Overnight dispatch from the central Bursa branches is the fastest. The tracking number is shared with us.
  4. Diagnosis in Ankara: As soon as the device reaches the Hacettepe Teknokent laboratory, physical diagnosis begins. In most cases a preliminary report is ready within 24 hours.
  5. Clear quote and approval: After diagnosis, the price, timeline and technical scope are sent in writing. Not a single step is taken without the client's approval.
  6. Recovery and delivery: Once the data is extracted, it is sent back on an encrypted HDD/SSD by insured courier, or delivered digitally via a secure cloud link. The return shipment to Bursa is also dispatched overnight and in your hands the next morning.

Throughout the process, a single phone number, a single project manager and a daily progress report are our standard.

Why Not a Physical Office in Bursa?

This is the question Bursa clients ask most often. The answer concerns the technical requirements of service quality, and it rests on logic any industrialist will appreciate.

Data recovery is not a job done on a computer repairman's bench. It requires an ISO 14644-1 Class 100-level cleanroom, professional imager hardware (PC-3000 UDMA, DeepSpar Disk Imager, MRT Lab), a stock of thousands of donor parts (HDD PCB, NAND chips, head assemblies), soldering equipment at the level of an electron microscope, and personnel with at least 10 years of digital-forensics experience. Replicating this infrastructure city by city is both unsustainable and creates inconsistency in quality. Just as TOFAS does not open a branch of its paint line in every province, we too concentrate this specialist work in a single central laboratory.

DSET concentrates service quality at its Ankara center and reaches the Bursa client through a courier chain. Remote coordination, video calls and a daily progress report are standard. The vast majority of firms that take on work in Bursa claiming "in-city service" already courier the device to another laboratory and add a commission on top. We remove this middleman, and the client deals directly with the source.

Services Tailored to Bursa's Sectors

Automotive (TOFAS, Renault, Karsan and Suppliers)

Bursa is the capital of Turkish automotive production. For the main production lines of TOFAS, Oyak Renault and Karsan, hundreds of supplier firms and thousands of SMEs in the organized industrial zones (OIZs), SCADA logs, MES records, quality-control images and PLC programs are critical digital assets. An SQL Server crash, the deletion of a robot-cell calibration record, or the failure of a CAD/CAM workstation can bring the line to a stop for hours, even days. In a just-in-time supply chain, every hour is a measurable loss. In these cases DSET begins same-day diagnosis with priority response; a return of data flow within 24 hours is our standard commitment for production lines. Among suppliers, we have specific archive-recovery experience for mold-shop CAD files, CNC programs and measurement reports.

Textiles and Ready-to-Wear

Bursa runs a line from a silk tradition to today's technical-textile and denim giants. For textile factories in the Demirtas and Nilufer OIZs, the ERP database, production-tracking software, customer order archive and fabric pattern library (PLM/CAD files) are the foundation of business continuity. A disk failure means the loss of a pattern archive built up over decades and contractual risk against export customers. Among textile clients, NAS and RAID 5/6 cases are the most frequent type.

Furniture (Inegol Focus)

Inegol is the heart of Turkey's furniture sector. For hundreds of manufacturers and design studios, the 3D model archive (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, 3ds Max), customer portfolio, e-commerce database and photo archive make up a significant part of business value. Typical cases from the Inegol OIZ: design folders encrypted after ransomware, archives forgotten on old workstation HDDs, corrupt NAS volumes. RAW file recovery for furniture designers is an area of strength for us.

Food Industry

The Gemlik, Mudanya and Karacabey line is a strong production hub for olives, olive oil, dairy products and prepared foods. In this sector, HACCP records, traceability logs and temperature and humidity sensor data are subject to a legal retention obligation. Losing this data can have serious penal consequences in Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry inspections.

Defense Industry (HASMER, BMC and Suppliers)

Bursa forms a strong line in the defense industry ecosystem together with HASMER, BMC and many supplier firms. In this sector, data recovery is not merely a technical matter but one of national security and confidentiality. For defense-industry clients, DSET offers an additional isolation protocol, an air-gapped lab access log, a mutual NDA plus a confidentiality declaration, a post-recovery disposal record at NIST SP 800-88 Purge level, and, if required, the option for a client representative to be present in the lab as an observer. Reporting aligned with TUBITAK BILGEM standards is frequently requested in this sector.

Universities and Research

For the research laboratories of Uludag University (Gorukle campus) and Bursa Technical University, thesis data, experiment records, simulation outputs and grant projects are critical. Among academic clients, RAID 5 array collapse, old server HDD failure, and water damage to a laptop holding a doctoral thesis are the most common cases. An academic price discount is our standard policy.

Healthcare and Legal

For the private hospitals, clinics and law firms in the city center, HIS, PACS and client file archives fall into the special-category data class. The KVKK's special-category personal data category requires an additional level of protection. The isolation protocol and the data-subject consent chain are carried out as a standard process.

Which Devices Do We Recover From?

The short list: HDD, SSD, NVMe M.2, RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/60, NAS (Synology, QNAP, Asustor, Buffalo, WD), iPhone and Android, USB sticks, SD/microSD/CF cards, server systems (HP ProLiant, Dell PowerEdge, Lenovo ThinkSystem), VMware/Hyper-V/Proxmox virtual disks, LTO tape and old IDE/SCSI disks. In production-environment cases, PLC memory modules, industrial CF cards and embedded eMMC devices are also within scope. For the full list, see our Data Recovery Guide 2026 article.

Courier Packaging Guide

HDD and SSD

An anti-static bag is mandatory (a blue ESD bag, NOT a plastic grocery bag). At least three layers of bubble wrap. A rigid cardboard box with extra foam fill inside. Outer label: "FRAGILE", "THIS WAY UP", "ELECTRONICS". The declared insurance value is the device value plus the estimated business value of the data.

RAID and NAS (Multi-Disk)

Each disk is packaged separately and labeled with its slot number (Slot 1, Slot 2 ...). The device itself is sent empty, with the disks removed. This prevents additional vibration-induced head damage during shipping. If you have the RAID configuration details (RAID level, stripe size, disk order), they should be written on an A4 sheet and placed in the box. For production-line RAID arrays, we recommend noting the controller model as well.

Phone

An anti-static bag, a low battery level (below 30 percent), airplane mode on, SIM card removed. In water-damage cases the device is NOT placed in rice; it is wrapped in a dry cloth and sent immediately.

Choosing a Courier

From the central Bursa branches, Aras Kargo VIP, MNG insured courier, Yurtici Plus and UPS Express are the preferred options. The declared insurance value is written as the sum of the device value plus the estimated value of the data inside. For corporate clients making bulk shipments from the OIZs, a same-day Ankara delivery option via a contracted courier is also available.

Remote Coordination

Once a case is accepted, a short progress note is sent at the end of each business day. Communication is open via WhatsApp Business, email or Microsoft Teams. In critical cases we hold a video call over Google Meet or Teams, turning one end of the camera into the lab to give a live status view. This transparency largely makes a physical office visit unnecessary.

Delivery Process

There are three delivery options:

  1. Return shipment by insured courier on an encrypted HDD/SSD: The most frequently chosen. The data is encrypted with AES-256, and the password is sent through a separate channel.
  2. SFTP or secure cloud link: For cases under 500 GB. The link is single-use, valid for 72 hours, and IP-restricted.
  3. Pickup in person from Ankara: The client or an authorized courier collects it against signature from the Hacettepe Teknokent office. For clients coming by courier from Bursa, we make delivery by appointment.

Timeline and Courier Time

A typical HDD case takes 3 to 7 business days, RAID/NAS 5 to 10 business days, and post-ransomware 7 to 14 business days. The Bursa-Ankara courier time is 1 to 2 business days outbound and 1 to 2 business days return. For urgent cases, the total time can drop below 24 hours with an overnight courier or a dedicated courier option.

The Advantage of Being Based in Ankara

DSET also serves local clients in Ankara data recovery. Our Hacettepe Teknokent center sits in a strategic location for all of Turkey. The defense-industry clusters (ASELSAN, ROKETSAN, HAVELSAN), TUBITAK BILGEM and university research laboratories all lie along this line. This ecosystem is a significant advantage in terms of donor-part supply and technical collaboration. For Bursa firms on the defense-industry line, the technical neighborhood in Ankara provides additional coordination convenience.

The Most Frequent Cases From Bursa

  1. RAID 5/6 array collapse: Multiple disk failures on production servers in the OIZs, controller errors, a second disk dropping during a rebuild. For detail, see our RAID 5 recovery article.
  2. Textile/furniture design archive: The HDD of an old workstation died, with years of accumulated CAD/PLM files inside it.
  3. Post-ransomware recovery: A case frequently arriving from the Inegol and Demirtas OIZs. Recovery via backups and shadow copies on systems encrypted by variants such as LockBit, BlackCat and Conti.
  4. NAS firmware corruption: A volume failing to mount after a Synology/QNAP DSM/QTS update, btrfs/ext4 corruption.
  5. SCADA/PLC record loss: A production-line data archive no longer recognized after a server disk failure.
  6. Mudanya/Gemlik water damage: iPhone, MacBook and external-disk water damage, a frequent occurrence along the coastal line.
  7. Server disk failure: Enterprise SAS/NL-SAS disks on OIZ servers, RAID controller cache battery problems.

Corporate SLA

For large corporate clients in the Bursa OIZs, we offer an annual framework contract. Its scope: priority response (technical contact within 4 hours), a 24/7 emergency line, an assigned project manager, a daily written progress report, a KVKK-compliant process, a forensic report option to the ISO/IEC 27037 standard, and an annual disaster-recovery drill. The annual framework reduces the per-case price by up to 20 percent and guarantees the response time. For automotive and defense-industry suppliers, an additional supply-chain compliance clause can be added.

KVKK and Confidentiality

The DSET process is fully compliant with the KVKK Personal Data Protection Law. A mutual NDA is signed for every case. The data-recovery lab is air-gapped, meaning fully isolated from the general network. SHA-256 hash verification is performed before and after delivery, and a record is signed. After recovery, source images are permanently destroyed to the NIST SP 800-88 Purge standard highlighted by USOM and international guidance, and the disposal record is given to the client. Client data never leaves the country under any circumstances, is never shared with third parties, and is never uploaded to any cloud provider.

The ISO/IEC 27037 standard is applied throughout the process as a guide to the identification, collection, acquisition and preservation of digital evidence. For cases with a possible forensic proceeding, a reporting option aligned with TUBITAK BILGEM standards is offered.

How Much Does It Cost?

We price each case individually; giving a "price over the phone" is neither ethical nor anything but misleading. There can be a tenfold difference between an HDD's electronic-board fault and a head-assembly failure. The process is as follows:

  1. The phone call is free.
  2. The courier is on you.
  3. Physical diagnosis is free.
  4. A clear quote is presented in writing.
  5. If you approve, the work begins.
  6. If the data is recovered, the agreed fee is charged.
  7. If the data is not recovered, no fee is charged; only the return courier cost is on the client.

There are no hidden fees, no "lab opening" or "preliminary assessment" charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is shipping from Bursa to Ankara safe?

Yes, insured courier is the standard method. The Bursa-Ankara line sees regular daily shipments, and when the correct packaging instructions are followed the risk is minimal.

Does sending a furniture design archive from Inegol require special packaging?

Standard HDD/SSD packaging is sufficient. In addition, if the disks were collected from more than one workstation, we recommend writing down which disk belongs to which designer and placing it in the box.

Our automotive line is down, is a same-day solution possible?

With an express or overnight courier the device can reach Ankara the same day. Diagnosis begins the same day; for simple electronic-board faults a same-day data extraction, for mechanical faults a 24 to 72 hour range is standard.

We are a defense-industry client, how is additional confidentiality ensured?

A mutual NDA is standard; a confidentiality declaration, the option of a client observer inside the lab, closed-circuit recording, and a NIST SP 800-88 Purge disposal record are offered. TUBITAK BILGEM-compliant reporting can be requested.

Can I bring the device and hand it over in person?

Of course. You can hand it over in person by appointment at our Hacettepe Teknokent office. Some OIZ corporate clients send their courier to Ankara specifically.

Do you serve other cities too?

Yes. We accept devices by courier from Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya, Adana and all 81 provinces. You can review our Istanbul data recovery page.

Do you cover the courier cost if the data cannot be recovered?

If the data is not recovered, no service fee is charged; the return courier cost is on the client. In some corporate SLA packages the return courier is also included.

Do you have an authorized dealer in Bursa?

No. DSET provides its service only from the Ankara center and directly. Do not trust third parties claiming "I am a DSET representative"; please first confirm by calling +90 536 662 38 09.
