How to reach DSET from Antalya
Antalya is the most populous city on the Mediterranean, on Türkiye's southern coast. DSET does not have a physical office in Antalya, but the process runs in a highly organized way and we have been accepting cases from every district of the city for years. The workflow consists of six steps:
- Preliminary assessment call: You call us at +90 536 662 38 09 or send a short email to [email protected]. We discuss the device type, the symptoms of the fault, and how critical the data is.
- Packaging instructions: Written instructions for an anti-static bag, at least three layers of bubble wrap, a rigid outer box, and a declared insurance value are sent to you over WhatsApp.
- Insured shipping: You ship with Aras Kargo VIP, MNG insured, Yurtiçi Plus, or UPS Express. Door-to-door pickup is available from central Antalya and from the Manavgat, Alanya, Kemer, Side, and Belek districts.
- Diagnostics in Ankara: As soon as the device reaches the Hacettepe Teknokent laboratory, physical diagnostics begin. In most cases a preliminary report is ready within 24 hours.
- Clear quote and approval: After diagnostics, the price, timeline, and technical scope are sent to you in writing. Not a single step is taken without the client's approval.
- Recovery and delivery: Once the data is recovered, it is returned via insured shipping on an encrypted HDD/SSD, or delivered digitally through a secure cloud link.
Because Antalya Airport is very active as a cargo transfer hub, your shipment can reach Ankara the same day. For urgent cases, an overnight courier or dedicated courier option is available.
Why not a physical office in Antalya?
This is one of the questions clients ask most. The answer comes down to technical requirements.
Data recovery is not a job done on a computer repair shop's bench. It requires an ISO 14644-1 Class 100 cleanroom, professional imaging hardware (PC-3000 UDMA, DeepSpar, MRT Lab), a stock of thousands of donor parts, soldering equipment at the level of an electron microscope, and personnel with at least 10 years of digital forensics experience. Replicating this infrastructure in every coastal city is unsustainable and creates inconsistent quality.
Most firms in Antalya that claim to offer "in-city service" still ship the device to another laboratory, usually in Istanbul or Ankara. We remove the middleman, so the client deals directly with the source. DSET concentrates its service quality at Ankara Hacettepe Teknokent and reaches the Antalya client with insured shipping and daily written progress reports.
Which districts of Antalya do cases come from?
We accept devices from every district across the city. The volume is highest in these locations:
- Muratpaşa: City center, corporate clients, law firms, accounting offices. Many Synology NAS and RAID 1 cases.
- Konyaaltı: A residential-heavy area. In apartments close to the coast, humidity and salt corrosion are common. Family photo/video archives are the most frequent request.
- Kepez: Antalya OSB (organized industrial zone) and its industrial subsidiaries. SCADA logs, ERP databases, and PLC program recovery cases.
- Aksu: Antalya Airport, cargo companies, logistics warehouses. WMS and fleet-tracking data are critical.
- Lara: Hotel and tourism cluster. PMS, CCTV recordings, customer databases, and fiscal-year archives.
- Alanya: Hotel chains, real estate offices, foreign property agents. Multilingual customer databases come up frequently.
- Manavgat and Side: Hotel and ancient-city region. Tourist photo archives, hotel reservation systems.
- Kemer: Coastal hotels and marinas. Boat IoT sensor logs, PMS data.
- Belek: Golf tourism, five-star hotel cluster. CRM, loyalty program, and financial record archives.
For cases coming from every district, the same process, the same laboratory, and the same standard apply.
Antalya's distinctive data-recovery profile
Three key factors set Antalya apart from other cities, and all three directly affect the data-loss risk profile.
Coastal device water damage
A large share of Antalya's population lives close to the Mediterranean shoreline. This pushes device water-damage cases far above the city average. A phone dropped in the sand at the beach, a laptop splashed with seawater, a tablet knocked over at the poolside, a hard drive that fell into the water from a boat at the marina, these are all classic Antalya cases. Salt water causes far more aggressive corrosion than fresh water. For the procedure, our what to do if your iPhone falls in water guide is the reference. The short answer: turn the device off, NEVER put it in a bag of rice, and send it to a professional laboratory immediately.
Tourism ecosystem and PMS data
Antalya is Türkiye's tourism capital. For the hotel chains, boutique hotels, marinas, and travel agencies along the Lara, Belek, Side, Kemer, and Alanya corridor, even a single day's loss of a PMS (Property Management System), CRM, or reservation database can mean millions in lost revenue. The SQL Server databases of systems such as Opera PMS, Protel, Elektra, and Fidelio fail frequently. The recovery process carries first-response priority depending on how busy the season is.
Agriculture, greenhouses, and a real estate concentration
Antalya is also the center of vegetable, fruit, and glass-greenhouse farming. Along the Aksu, Serik, and Manavgat corridor, greenhouse automation, irrigation automation, and harvest-tracking software are in use. Their data is season-dependent, and a loss affects the entire harvest cycle. In the real estate sector, because of the heavy presence of foreign investors, multilingual customer databases, title-deed document scans, and contract archives fall into the critical data class.
Sector-specific service in Antalya
Tourism and hospitality
For the large chain hotels, boutique hotels, all-inclusive resorts, and marinas in Lara, Belek, Side, Alanya, and Kemer, PMS databases, CRM, loyalty program data, and CCTV archives are critical. Before the high season (May through October), we recommend DSET's emergency-response package so that priority is already assigned for any cases that arise during the season. With hotel chains, an annual framework agreement, a mutual NDA, and KVKK Data Controller responsibility are guaranteed in writing.
Healthcare and private clinics
Antalya is among Türkiye's leading cities for health tourism. For hair transplant, dental, aesthetic, and ophthalmology clinics and private hospitals, HBYS (hospital information system) records, PACS imaging data, and laboratory information system records fall into the KVKK special-category data class. An additional protection level, an isolation protocol, and a data-subject consent chain are carried out as part of the standard process.
Akdeniz University and research institutions
For Akdeniz Üniversitesi, BATEM (the Western Mediterranean Agricultural Research Institute), and other research centers, thesis data, experiment records, and long-term measurement archives come in frequently. For academic cases, we apply student/researcher-friendly pricing.
Logistics, agriculture, and law
Antalya Airport's cargo capacity makes the city an international cargo transfer hub; for logistics companies, WMS data, fleet-tracking records, and customs documentation are critical. For glass-greenhouse and modern farming operations, irrigation, fertilization, harvest-tracking, and SCADA/PLC cases come in frequently. For the law firms, real estate offices, and appraisal companies in Muratpaşa and Konyaaltı, client files, title-deed document scans, and foreign-investor documentation are the most sensitive data class; ISO/IEC 27037 compliant forensic report requests come from this sector.
Which devices do we recover from?
A short list: HDD (3.5" and 2.5" mechanical), SSD (SATA, mSATA), NVMe M.2, RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/60, NAS (Synology, QNAP, Asustor, Buffalo, Western Digital), iPhone and Android phones, USB flash drives, SD/microSD/CF cards, server systems (HP ProLiant, Dell PowerEdge, Lenovo ThinkSystem), VMware/Hyper-V/Proxmox virtual disks, LTO tape, and legacy IDE/SCSI disks. For the full list, see our Data Recovery Guide 2026 article.
Shipping and packaging guide (Antalya-specific notes)
HDD and SSD
An anti-static bag is mandatory (a blue ESD bag, NOT a plastic grocery bag). At least three layers of bubble wrap. A rigid cardboard box with additional foam padding inside. Outer label: "FRAGILE", "THIS SIDE UP", "ELECTRONICS". If you are shipping from a coastal area, we recommend adding silica gel packets as well. In the Antalya summer, humidity levels in cargo holding areas can be very high.
RAID and NAS
Each disk is packaged separately and labeled with its slot number (Slot 1, Slot 2, ...). The device itself is shipped empty with the disks removed. This prevents additional vibration-induced head damage during transit. If RAID configuration information (RAID level, stripe size, disk order) is available, it should be written on a sheet of A4 paper and placed in the box. Our detailed RAID 5 recovery guide explains why the order of the RAID member disks matters so much.
Phone (water damage)
Turn the device OFF, do NOT connect it to a charger even if the battery is low, NEVER put it in a bag of rice, wipe the outside with a dry cloth, place it in an anti-static bag, and send it immediately. Salt water eats away at the circuit board within hours. Because these cases are very common in Antalya, a detailed procedure has been added to the iPhone fell in water data recovery article.
Choosing a carrier
Aras Kargo VIP, MNG insured, Yurtiçi Plus, and UPS Express are the preferred options. The declared insurance value is written as the sum of the device value plus the estimated business value of the data inside. This also changes the cargo company's packaging priority. Overnight cargo from central Antalya branches reaches Hacettepe Teknokent in Ankara within 16 to 24 hours.
Remote coordination
Once a case is accepted, a short progress note is sent at the end of each business day. Communication stays open via WhatsApp Business, email, or Microsoft Teams. For critical cases, a video call is held over Google Meet or Teams, with one end of the camera turned into the lab to show the status live. This transparency makes a physical office visit largely unnecessary.
Delivery process
There are three delivery options:
- Insured return shipping on an encrypted HDD/SSD: The most frequently chosen option. The data is encrypted with AES-256 and the password is sent through a separate channel.
- SFTP or secure cloud link: For cases under 500 GB. The link is single-use, valid for 72 hours, and IP-restricted.
- In-person pickup in Ankara: The client or an authorized courier collects the data from the Hacettepe Teknokent office against signature.
Timeline and shipping duration
A typical HDD case takes 3 to 7 business days, RAID/NAS 5 to 10 business days, and post-ransomware recovery 7 to 14 business days. The Antalya to Ankara shipping time is 1 to 2 business days each way. For urgent cases, an overnight or dedicated courier option is available, in which case the total time can drop below 24 hours.
The most common cases from Antalya
- iPhone and Android water damage: Beach, pool, marina, and bathroom accidents. Salt-water corrosion is the most aggressive type. Process details are in the iPhone fell in water data recovery guide.
- RAID 5/6 array failure: Hotel reservation servers, OSB ERP systems. For details, see the RAID 5 recovery article.
- Synology/QNAP NAS firmware corruption: Volume not mounting after a DSM/QTS update, btrfs/ext4 corruption.
- Sudden SSD death: Controller chip failure, firmware crash, not being recognized after a BSOD.
- Post-ransomware recovery: Recovery from backups and shadow copies on systems encrypted by variants such as LockBit, BlackCat, and Conti.
- Hotel PMS database failure: Opera, Protel, Elektra SQL Server cases.
- Loss of family photo/video archives: Vacation memories, wedding photos, childhood videos.
Corporate SLA
For the large hotel chains, hospitals, and OSB companies in Antalya, we recommend an annual framework agreement. This agreement includes: priority response (technical contact within 4 hours), a 24/7 emergency line, an assigned project manager, daily written progress reports, a KVKK compliant process, the option of a forensic report per the ISO/IEC 27037 standard, and an annual disaster-recovery drill. The annual framework lowers the per-case price by up to 20% and guarantees the response time. We recommend a pre-season drill window (in April).
KVKK and confidentiality
DSET's process is fully compliant with KVKK, the Personal Data Protection Law. A mutual NDA is signed for every case. The data recovery lab is air-gapped, meaning it is completely isolated from the general network. SHA-256 hash verification is performed before and after delivery, and a record is signed. After recovery, the source images are permanently destroyed in line with USOM directives and the international NIST SP 800-88 Purge standard, and a destruction record is given to the client. Under no circumstances does client data leave the country, get shared with third parties, or get uploaded to any cloud provider.
The ISO/IEC 27037 standard is applied throughout the process as a guide for identifying, collecting, acquiring, and preserving digital evidence. For cases with a possible legal process, a reporting option compliant with TÜBİTAK BİLGEM standards is offered.
How much does it cost?
We price each case individually; quoting a price over the phone is neither ethical nor accurate. The difference between an HDD electronics-board issue and a head-assembly failure can be tenfold. The process works like this:
- The phone call is free.
- Shipping is at your expense.
- Physical diagnostics are free.
- A clear quote is presented in writing.
- If you approve, the work begins.
- If data is recovered, the agreed fee is charged.
- If no data is recovered, no fee is charged; only the return shipping cost is the client's responsibility.
There are no hidden fees, no "lab opening" or "preliminary expertise" charges.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is shipping from Antalya to Ankara safe?
Yes, insured shipping is the standard method. When the correct packaging instructions are followed, the risk is minimal. Thanks to Antalya Airport's cargo transfer capacity, there is a same-day delivery option to Ankara.
Can I bring the device to Ankara myself and hand it over in person?
Of course. You can hand it over in person by appointment at our Hacettepe Teknokent office. Some corporate clients send their own dedicated courier.
What happens if the shipment is lost in transit?
Compensation is claimed from the cargo company based on the declared insurance value. However, because the data itself cannot be compensated, we recommend confirming that you have a backup for critical data.
Did my disk fail from humidity in my coastal apartment?
It is possible, and in fact one of the more common causes. High humidity leads to electrolytic corrosion on the circuit board and rust formation on the read head. Early intervention is essential. Turn the device off and contact us immediately.
My iPhone fell into seawater, should I put it in a bag of rice?
No. Rice is a myth and does not slow down the rate of corrosion. Turn the device off, wipe the outside with a dry cloth, and send it to a professional laboratory immediately. For details, see the iPhone fell in water data recovery article.
Our hotel's PMS failed mid-season, how quickly can you respond?
For our corporate SLA clients, technical contact within 4 hours, the device to Ankara by overnight cargo, and a first preliminary report within 24 hours. This process has been applied frequently for our mid-season cases.
Do you have an authorized dealer in Antalya?
No. DSET provides its service only from the Ankara center and directly. Do not trust third parties who claim to be "a DSET representative"; please verify first by calling +90 536 662 38 09.
