Tip: before clicking, hover the link and read the domain right to left from the last dot.
Signs of a phishing message
Most phishing relies on a look-alike domain, manufactured urgency, a generic greeting and a request for credentials, card data or an IBAN. Hovering the link and reading the domain from the last dot is the single fastest check. Learn the full method in our guide on spotting phishing emails.
What to do with a suspicious email
Do not click, reply or open attachments. Report to your security team and verify any payment or IBAN change through a second channel. Strong email authentication stops most spoofing before it reaches the inbox, as we explain in our SPF, DKIM and DMARC article.
Corporate awareness training
The strongest layer is a trained team. DSET runs simulated phishing campaigns and awareness training, especially important for remote staff, as covered in our remote staff security guide.
